Moon Jar
A Moon Jar is a historic Korean vessel that originates from the Joseon Dynasty. I observe the Moon Jar as a sculptural form, exploring its lines, curves, and volumes. It holds a quiet sense of mystery, as if it carries the silence and spirit of time within its soft, imperfect form.
Inspired by such objects, my ceramic sculptures investigate the tension between harmony and irregularity. Through this practice, I seek to reveal the subtle beauty that emerges from imperfection.
